After spending time, trying to escape the idea of being a personal trainer. “You’ve built yourself up such a small frame, surely you’ve found a method that works”. I finally leaned into what had seemed like I was putting off all along, which was leading via example before getting into fitness for throttle I was a skinny kid that graduated high school at 61 and a whopping 140 pounds. Society mostly talks about body shaming from the opposite side of the spectrum, and we act as if comments on someone’s weight because they are not considered overweight can’t also be harmful. I no longer wanted to be looked at as the goofy skinny kid so i picked up a good habit of picking up weights and I haven’t looked back since. While taking my journey has for sure, taught me a few tricks it’s also taught me that the one true trick to getting anything you want is consistency.
